Vivo Vintage è il sogno di tre persone, nato per caso sul divano di casa. Angelo, la voce narrante del team, mi ha raccontato la loro storia.

Com’è nata l’idea di Vivo Vintage?

L’idea di vivo vintage è nata dal divano di casa nostra.. guardando alcune trasmissioni su Sky, ci siamo trovati spesso incantati vedendo dei rigattieri che recuperavano in mezzo a tanta “immondizia” dei pezzi favolosi da riportare in vita e da rivendere. Spesso si trovano delle chicche là dove trovi ciò che molti reputano superfluo. Questa ovviamente non è l’unica motivazioni per cui è nato il tutto…

Com’è nata la vostra passione per la moda vintage?

C’è stato un periodo di necessità in cui ci siamo guardati in faccia con Cinzia ed Anna e abbiamo pensato a cosa inventarci per evitare vacche non magre, ma anoressiche… e così un giorno siamo andati al mercato di porta portese a Roma dove abbiamo preso una sola borsa, un BEAUTY di GUCCI che ancora oggi Cinzia conserva come se fosse la prima moneta di Paperon dei Paperoni! Da quella borsa non abbiamo guadagnato un centesimo, ma ci ha dato tanta visibilità e fu così che capimmo che dovevamo puntare sulle borse. Siete un team di tre persone.

Quali sono i vostri ruoli in Vivo Vintage?

Siamo 3 persone … diversissime l’una dall’altra, ma forse questo essere eterogenei ci ha aiutato molto a completare le zone grigie di ciascuno di noi. Cinzia è l’organizzatrice della quotidianità, la contabile, la responsabile degli acquisti e l’economa, colei che ha reso l’idea di un anno fa qualcosa di tangibile. Io (Angelo) sono il “narratore sciocchino” ed il diplomatico del gruppo, quello che non perde mai la pazienza con le nostre amiche (ma continuamente con Anna e Cinzia) e che cura i rapporti prima, durante ma soprattutto dopo la consegna della borsa. Amo le storie e per questo cerco di ascoltarle o narrarle. Mi piace tantissimo sapere dove vanno a finire i nostri pezzetti di cuore, e così parlo spesso con i fidanzati innamorati, i figli che vogliono regalare alle madri un pensiero o più semplicemente con coloro che vogliono assecondare un piccolo momento di egoismo. Anna è il volto di Vivo Vintage. In molte si sono affezionate a lei e citando Jovanotti, è l’elemento umano della macchina. Oltre a metterci la faccia però è colei che mi aiuta nella comunicazione e che si occupa delle autenticazioni sui siti in lingua inglese per le borse firmate che troviamo o acquistiamo da privati.

Il pezzo più bello trovato/venduto?

Il pezzo più bello trovato ha anche una storia simpatica da raccontare. Trovammo in un mercatino una Chanel che qualche pazza avrà buttato perché rotta in alcune sue componenti. La comprammo ad un prezzo stracciato viste le condizioni. Cinzia all’inizio andò su tutte le furie perché non ama prendere borse rotte, (dato che poi è lei a doverle sistemare) ma una Chanel per quanto rotta, se è autentica va comprata! Alla fine accettò. La portammo ovunque per mesi, ma nessuno sapeva sistemarla senza alterarne il valore. Poi grazie alla sua caparbietà andammo a Roma e ci presentammo direttamente da Chanel. Ritirarono la borsa facendoci firmare un contratto in cui dichiaravamo che il pezzo fosse autentico, altrimenti saremmo stati passibili di denuncia (ovviamente avevamo fatto fare le dovute autenticazioni, dato che le Chanel sono molto imitate).. dopo aver firmato ci dissero che il costo sarebbe stato probabilmente al di sopra dei 300 euro. Senza esitazione accettammo. Dopo un mese ci fu rispedita nel pieno del suo splendore! Era bellissima, ma la cosa più bella fu la lettera di Chanel che ci omaggiava di ogni intervento! Insomma, ora avevamo una Chanel fantastica comprata al prezzo di una Chanel rotta! ❤ fu un colpo di …. Fortuna!

5 cose da fare a Venafro

Venafro ha un centro storico meraviglioso dove spesso facciamo le foto con Anna (all’inizio sfruttando un iphone 4 poi affidandoci a persone più competenti di me :). Ecco, se dovessi consigliare un posto da visitare partirei da lì per poi spostarci a provare piatti e prodotti tipici della nostra terra … roba che nei giorni di natale ti fa lievitare di almeno 4 0 5 kg.

How was the idea behind Vivo Vintage born?
The idea behind Vivo Vintage was born on our sofa at home ..while watching shows on Sky, we have often been amazed by junk dealers recovering fabulous pieces from the “garbage” to be brought back to life and then sold. Often you find goodies among things considered by many superfluous. This is obviously not the only reason why it all started.

How was your passion for vintage fashion born?
There was a time of need when we looked at each other with Cinzia and Anna and we thought about what to come up with to avoid lean years … and so one day, we went to the market of Porta Portese in Rome and bought one purse, a Gucci beauty case that Cinzia still keeps as if it was Scrooge McDuck’s Number One dime! From that bag we have not earned a penny, but it gave us so much visibility that we understood we should concentrate on bags.

You are a team of three people. What are your roles in Vivo Vintage?
We are three people … and we are very different from each other, but perhaps the fact that we are heterogeneous helped us in filling each other’s gaps. Cinzia is the organizer of the everyday life, the accountant, the purchasing manager and the treasurer, the one that, a year ago, made the idea something tangible. I (Angelo) am the “silly narrator” and the diplomat of the group, the one that never loses patience with our friends (but continuously with Anna and Cinzia) and who handles relations before, during and especially after the delivery of the bag. I love stories and so I try to listen to them or narrate them. I really like to know where the pieces of our heart end up , and so I often talk to the boyfriends in love, the children who want to give a little something to their mothers or simply with those who want to indulge in a little moment of selfishness. Anna is the face of Vivo Vintage. Many are very fond of her and, in Jovanotti’s own words, she is the human element of the machine. In addition to that, she is the one who helps me with communications and who deals with the authentication procedure on English websites for designer bags that we find or buy from private costumers.

What is the most beautiful piece you have ever found/sold?
The most beautiful piece we have ever found has also a funny story to tell. We found a Chanel bag in a flea market that some crazy lady had thrown away because it was broken. We bought it for a ridiculously cheap price due to its state. Cinzia hit the roof as she does not like buying broken items (she is the one who then needs to fix them); however, although broken, an authentic Chanel has to be bought! Eventually, she agreed. We took the bag everywhere for months, but no one could fix it without changing its value. Then, thanks to Cinzia’s stubbornness, we went directly to Chanel in Rome. They took the bag and made us sign a contract in which we stated it was authentic, otherwise we would be liable to prosecution (of course we had to make the necessary authentication, since Chanel items are very commonly forged) .. after signing, they told us that the cost would probably be over €300. We accepted without hesitation. After a month, we were sent the purse back in all its glory! It was beautiful, but the best past was a letter by Chanel explaining the repair was complimentary! So, now we had a fantastic Chanel bought at the price of a broken Chanel! ❤ it was a stroke of luck!

Tell us 5 things to do in Venafro
Venafro has a wonderful historic district where we often take photos with Anna (at the beginning, with an iPhone 4 then relying on more competent people than me ). If I were to recommend a place to visit, I would start from there to then move on to traditional cuisine and products of our land … stuff that during Christmas make you gain at least 4 or 5 kg.
